The Long Course Weekend

Summer 2016 – What's on in PembrokeshireFriday 8th – Sunday 10th July 2016

Along with Ironman Wales in September, The Long Course Weekend has to be one of our favourite events in the calendar! Known as one of the most gruelling triathlons in Wales, this unique Ironman event runs over three days with a 2.4 mile swim on Tenby’s North Beach on Friday evening, a 112-mile cycle ride around Pembrokeshire on Saturday and a marathon on the Sunday – it certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted!

It’s a fantastic event to watch so don’t miss out this July.

Comedy Club at The Queen’s Hall, Narberth

Summer 2016 – What's on in PembrokeshireThursday 14th July 2016 @7.15pm

Musical comedian Christian Reilly started out playing guitar and singing for the American comic polymath, Rich Hall. In the gaps between touring, Reilly worked on his own material and in 2003 did a BBC radio show with Richard Herring, called That Was Then, This Is Now.

Reilly is joined by Tony Jameson and Welsh comedian, Robin Morgan.

Doors open at 7:15 and ticket are available from Span Arts, where you’ll also find details of their other summer events.

Jamie Lawson at Pembroke Castle 

Jamie LawsonSaturday 16th July from 4pm

Pembroke Castle are delighted that Jamie Lawson, the Number 1 album artist discovered by superstar Ed Sheeran and the first signing to Ed’s Gingerbread Man Records label, will headline Saturday July 16th at the castle!

It will be a fantastic night of quality music, with Calum Scott, Into the Ark, and Jodie Marie, having been announced as support acts.

Madama Butterfly at RhosygilwenSummer 2016 – What's on in Pembrokeshire

Friday 15th and Saturday 16th July 2016 @ 6pm

Rhosygilwen is delighted to offer a full evening of wonderful songs and arias from a reduced version of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and a second half opera gala of duets, solos and choral compositions.

Pembrokeshire’s Sunset Cinema

17th July, 12th August and 20th August 2016

Go back in time and enjoy an outdoor cinema experience under the stars with screenings of film classics at a number of Pembrokeshire’s beautiful locations this July. The first screening takes place at Picton Castle and Gardens on 17th July showing the 1970s blockbuster ‘Grease‘, with ‘Mamma Mia‘ on 12th August and ‘Dirty Dancing‘ on 20th August at The Corran in Laugharne.

Summer adventures with the National Trust

‘100 years of Roald Dahl’ art workshops at Oriel y Parc

Summer 2016 – What's on in PembrokeshireTuesday 19th & 26th July 2016 from 1pm – 3pm

Let your imagination run wild at Oriel y Parc this summer! With so many amazing stories and characters to choose from, this arty workshop is a feast for the imagination. Including three creative challenges each inspired by a different story, be prepared to make something really special to take home.

Saturday 30th July 2016

The Cheerful Project and Life Seeker are incredibly excited to be joining the street parade at Narberth Carnival for Narberth Civic Week on Sat 30th July.

Want to join the procession? Join them at one of the Mabinogion workshops to learn how to make your very own procession puppet fish or bird. Those who attend will be invited to parade their creative masterpiece alongside others in the Cheerful Project community.

The carnival procession begins at 2pm on Saturday 30th July – check out the other events during Narberth Civic Week.

Fishguard International Music Festival

Haverfordwest Festival WeekSummer 2016 – What's on in Pembrokeshire – Haverfordwest Festival Week 2016

Saturday 23rd – Saturday 30th July 2016

This fabulous week-long festival has a variety of events spanning the week commencing 23rd July, organised by many different groups being supported by the town council – a combination of music, art, food, film and sport! Full details can be found in their festival program.

Haverfordwest Skatepark Jam

Saturday 23rd July 2016 from 12pm

It’s Jam time!! Take part in one of Wales’ premier alternative sports events with special guests including Maverick Skatepark, Moonshine Skateboard team, and many more – open to all, whether seasoned pro or beginner! Prizes and throw-outs are available throughout the day as well as Jam events for Bike, Board, Scooters and Inline.

A great day out for the whole family with great food, great stands, great atmosphere, and a lot of fun! It’s completely free entry and the fun starts at 12 noon at Picton Community Centre.

The Haverfordwest Grand National Soapbox Derby

Summer 2016 – What's on in Pembrokeshire - soapbox derbySaturday 30th July 2016

Head to The Upper Racecourse Haverfordwest for some crazy fun with annual Soapbox Derby! This fantastic spectator sport involves watching homemade soapboxes in all shapes and sizes hurtle down a set course against the clock.

It’s guaranteed to have some spills and lots of laughs. The fun starts at 12 noon and you’ll find full details here.

Tenby 10K

Sunday 31st July 2016

Tenby-fireworks-2012_compressed-min (300x268)The annual Tenby 10k takes place on 31st of July 2016 at 11.00am and follows a spectacularly scenic route in and around Tenby. Whether you’re taking part or supporting along the way, it’s bound to be a fantastic day!

Tenby Summer Spectaculars

Every Sunday from 31st July – 28th August 2016

Tenby’s famous ‘Summer Spectaculars’ take place on Tenby Harbour and are great fun for all the family, with live music, stalls, fireworks and more! Further details will be published as soon as we hear more from the organisers.

Pearl JammPearl Jam Tribute Concert at West Coast Arts

The UK’s premier Pearl Jam Tribute Band are playing all the classics at West Coast Arts (formerly Chequers) between Tenby and Lydstep!

Pearl Jamm is the UK’s premier tribute to Seattle’s finest, Pearl Jam. Pearl Jamm were formed in London, England by 5 dedicated, hardworking and professional musicians, who were brought together with a love and passion for Pearl Jam.

The band puts on an exciting stage show that authentically recreates the sound, look and feel of the Seattle giants. They put their love for Pearl Jam at the heart of their performance and are guaranteed to please any fan.

Pembrokeshire County Show

Summer 2016 – What's on in Pembrokeshire - Pembs County Show16th, 17th and 18th August 2016

Pembrokeshire’s Annual Agricultural Show takes place from 16th to 18th August at Withybush Showground, Haverfordwest.

The three-day show has a programme full of entertainment suitable for the whole family including showjumping, dog agility show, family fun zone, fairground and the popular food hall showcasing some of the best local produce of West Wales!
