May Half Term Activities in Pembrokeshire – What’s on in 2016!
With May Half Term just around the corner, we’re already gearing up for a fabulously fun-filled week here at Celtic Haven – it’s one of our favourite weeks of the year!
To help you plan ahead for your holiday, we’ve done a bit of digging to bring you our top May Half Term activities in Pembrokeshire!
As you’ll see there’s plenty happening, and that’s before you’ve even started exploring our endless sandy beaches, breath-taking Pembrokeshire Coast Path, amazing cafés and restaurants (including our very own Waves cliff-top restaurant here at Celtic Haven), quaint little towns and villages and fun family attractions like Heatherton World of Activities, Oakwood Theme Park, Manor House Wildlife Park, Tenby Dinosaur Park, Battlefield Live and more!

28th – 30th May and 4th – 5th June 2016 at 3pm
The Follies Theatre presents Matt the Magic Man and his magical magic show! Help him find wizzy in true Folly Farm style. Performances at 3pm in the Follies Theatre inside the Vintage Funfair.
31st May – 3rd June 2016 at 3pm
The Follies Theatre presents Luke Jugglestruck and his magical show! Be amazed by his ultra violet illusions and magic tricks. Performances at 3pm in the Follies Theatre inside the Vintage Funfair.
Thursday 2nd June 2016 – Doors open at 1.45pm
……..collecting songs,trinkets and stories of rather strange characters along the way. Enter Flossy and Boo’s mind boggling world and hear all about their curious adventures.
Flossy and Boo’s Curiosity Shop is an interactive show for all the family, filled with songs, stories, music and bizarre characters.
Tuesday 31st May 2016 – 11am to 3pm
If you’ve got a head for heights then why not join experienced instructors and scale the walls of the disused quarry at Stackpole Quay. It will be an experience to remember!
Wednesday 1st June 2016 – 7am to 9am
Join rangers Jim and Marilyn on an early morning ramble to discover the amazing wildlife here. You will also learn some of the fascinating history of the Bosherston Lakes and the Stackpole Estate.
Every day throughout May Half Term – 9.30am to 4.30pm
Get on board with qualified instructors on an exhilarating kayak and coasteering trips from Stackpole Quay. You will enjoy the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coastline from a unique angle on this action-packed day out.
Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May 2016 – 10am to 5pm
The friendliest, wildest, whackiest festival you could hope for! Join in on a National Trust farm overlooking the glorious sea. Discover how to make the most of the countryside…….Eat it, cook it, learn about it and even play with it!
Saturday 27th – Monday 30th May 2016
Fishguard’s 17th Folk Festival brings together its unique mix of local talent and well-known performers to provide four days of songs, tunes and dance. Most events are still free, and whether you want to play, sing, dance or just watch and listen, there is always a choice of things to do in throughout this fun-packed friendly festival.
Sunday 29th May 2016
The race – whilst certainly looked forward to by many – is by no means the main attraction of an event which promises to be a family-focused affair!
In addition to a plethora of entertaining attractions (including bouncy castles, tea cup ride and a children’s magician), there will be fully-licensed beer tents and the very best of Pembrokeshire produce from the BBQs.
There’s a packed programme of events and fun activities for all ages at Carew Castle all year round!

Monday 30th May 2016 – Gates open at 6.30pm, music starts at 7.30pm
Enjoy a relaxing Spring Bank Holiday Monday evening in the magnificent surroundings of Manorbier Castle.
Live music will be provided by the Rin Tins, a popular Bristol based band who shortly after the event will be making their Glastonbury debut. Their brand of gipsy jazz – folk – soul boogie is great to dance to, or simply to sit back and enjoy. The Rin Tins will be supported by Tiger Boys, a local duo who play with real passion and soul.
Enjoy a drink from the bar or burgers, tea and Welshcakes from the BBQ!
