The mile and a half long and two mile wide island has been inhabited by monks since Celtic times and has a Cistertian monk community currently living in the island monastery. Caldey Island is open from April through October.

Come seal spotting and bird watching

October is an excellent month for bird watching and seal spotting. The coastal areas around Pembrokeshire are full of spectacular passages of sea birds.
