Get reeled into Pembrokeshire Fish Week!21st June 2011
Are you a foodie fan looking for some-fin special this June? If you’re a sea-food lover then you’re in luck! Pembrokeshire Fish Week is set to take over the south-west coast of Wales and Celtic Haven is right in the heart of all the fishy-fun!
Celtic Haven’s cottages are less than 10 minutes from some of the week long fish-themed events, which take place all over Pembrokeshire from 25 June- 3 July.
There are 250 fish-orientated things to do at the festival – such as fishing competitions and cookery events – celebrating the region’s fresh seafood, protected coastline, sandy beaches and maritime heritage.
Highlights of the festival include ‘Cook your Catch’ which is a seafood masterclass from five top British chefs including Mark Hix and Mitch Tonks. Those who are looking for something more active can join in the ‘Make like a Fish’ programme where kids and adults can attempt surfing, coasteering, canoeing, kayaking, sailing or learning to skipper a powerboat. Other excitements at the festival include tastings, fishing lessons and children’s workshops.
Celtic Haven is just 30 minutes from Milford Haven and 10 minutes from Tenby, where most of the events take place. And to celebrate the fishy fun, Celtic Haven has a ‘Coast into Summer’ offer of £159 per person includes three of four nights accommodation in a luxury cottage, £20 towards a sunset dinner at the resort’s Waves restaurant which will feature a special Fish Week menu, £30 towards treatments at the Elemis Premier Spa and 10 percent off spa products.
Guests also have free use of Celtic Haven’s private indoor swimming pool, fitness suite, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts and nine-hole golf course. From the cottages, guests can wander down to Lydstep Beach or explore the area on the miles of headland paths.
