Booking and Check-in

Q: How much deposit is required to secure my booking?

A: If your arrival date is more than 8 weeks away we require a 30% deposit to secure your booking. If your arrival date is within 8 weeks, a full payment is required.

Please note: Online bookings require a full payment at the time of booking. If your arrival date is more than 8 weeks away and you only wish to pay a deposit at this stage, please contact us on 01834 870000 to book.

Q: I'm a Privilege Cardholder - how do I benefit from loyalty discount?

A: Please call us to benefit from loyalty discount as this cannot currently be applied to online bookings.

Q: When will my final holiday balance become due?

A: If you paid a deposit at the time of booking, your remaining balance will become due 8 weeks before your arrival date.

Q: What time can I check in to my holiday cottage?

A: Check-in is normally from 4pm on your arrival day. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier to start enjoying our sport and leisure facilities. If your cottage is ready earlier than 4pm, you are very welcome to check-in.

Q: What time do I need to check out on departure day?

A: If we could have your keys back by 10am on your departure day that would be great, although you are very welcome to continue enjoying our facilities.

Q: What are the opening times of The Welcome Centre?

A: We're here 7 days a week from 9am until 5pm. However, if you have an out-of-hours emergency you’ll find a telephone number in your welcome information and on the front door of The Welcome Centre.

Q: What if I arrive at Celtic Haven after the office is closed?

A: If you think you might arrive after 5pm, please let us know and we will arrange for your cottage to be opened up for you.

Q: I need to check out before the office opens in the morning - where do I leave my keys?

A: We have a secure key box next to the Welcome Centre so feel free to drop your keys in if you have to head off early.

Holiday Cottage Facilities

Q: Can I see what the cottages look like inside?

A: Yes, of course – here's a peek inside each of our Celtic Haven cottages.

Q: Are bed linen and towels provided in the cottages?

A: Yes, bed linen is provided as well as towels for using in your cottage and the swimming pool. (Please note you'll need to bring cot linen as we find parents like to bring baby's own.)

Q: Can I request bathrobes?

A: Yes, please let us know if you require bathrobes for your visit.

Q: Are tea and coffee provided?

A: A starter pack of tea bags, coffee sachets, UHT milk pots and sugar is provided so you can put your feet up and enjoy a cuppa when you arrive.

Q: Are the kitchens fully equipped?

A: Our self-catering holiday cottages are equipped with everything you need for a 'home from home' break, including a washing machine or washer dryer, dishwasher, cookware, crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchen utensils.

We also provide dishcloths, a tea towel and washing-up liquid as well as a dishwasher tablet and loo roll to start you off. We recommend bringing additional loo rolls and dishwasher tablets, washing powder and anything else you think you might need for your stay.

Q: Are hairdryers provided?

A: Yes, hairdryers are provided in each of our holiday cottages.

Q: Can I request a cot and highchair for my little one?

A: Yes, cots, highchairs and stair gates are available free of charge so please let us know what you require when booking. Please note you will need to bring cot linen as we find parent's like to bring baby's own.

Q: Is WiFi available at Celtic Haven?

A: Free WiFi is available across the site, including each of our cottages.

Q: Are utilities included in the cottage rental?

A: Yes, all utilities are included in your cottage rental and you won’t find any hidden charges.

Q: Can I have groceries delivered?

A: Yes, we have an arrangement with St Florence Shop who will happily deliver groceries to your cottage - simply complete the order form which you'll find in your booking paperwork and on their website. Tesco and Asda are also happy to deliver but please make sure you are here to receive your delivery.

Q: Do any of the cottages have private gardens?

A: Many of our cottages have their own garden so please let us know if you would particularly like one with outdoor space. We also have acres of land with spectacular views to explore at Celtic Haven so having a garden isn't always essential.

Q: Are any of Celtic Haven's properties suitable for people with limited mobility?

A: We are pleased to offer three 'easy access' one-bedroom suites which are ground-floor level with open-plan living areas, wide doorways and walk/wheel-in wet rooms. We can also provide grab rails, toilet surrounds and shower chairs so feel free to get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Q: Are the cottages dog friendly?

A: We welcome dogs in many of our holiday cottages and it's just £20 extra per pet, per week or short break. We also keep a small number of cottages 'pet free' in case of allergies, so please contact us for further information.

Resort Facilities

Q: Is car parking available on site?

A: We have two designated car parks offering plenty of parking for both guests and day visitors. We do kindly ask that cars are kept in the carparks to help keep traffic to a minimum in the village, however, you are welcome to load and unload outside your cottage when you need to.

Q: How do I book a treatment in Celtic Haven's Elemis Spa?

A: Once you've chosen what you fancy, or if you'd like to talk about our range of spa treatments and pamper packages, simply give The Spa a call on 01834 871850.

Q: How do I book a table in Waves restaurant?

A: Give Waves a quick call on 01834 870085, or feel free to let us know when booking your cottage. You'll find all our delicious menus right here including lunch, evening meals, take-away pizzas, something special for the kids and our famous 'Lazy Sunday Lunch'.

Q: Are children welcome in Waves restaurant?

A: Of course - as long as they are accompanied by well-behaved parents ☺

Q: Is Waves restaurant dog friendly?

A: I'm afraid Waves restaurant is a pet-free zone, however, they are very welcome on the decking if it's a dry day – the views of the Pembrokeshire headland are beautiful!

Q: What are the opening times of the indoor and outdoor leisure facilities?

A: The swimming pool, hydrotherspy suite and fitness suite are open daily from 8.30am until 8.30pm. You are welcome to use the golf course, tennis courts and other outdoor facilities as long as there's daylight!

Q: Is there a dress code for the golf course?

A: We're very relaxed at Celtic Haven so you won't find any stuffy rules or dress codes. Our course is open to all ages and abilities and the most important thing is having fun!

Q: Can children use the sport and leisure facilities?

A: Apart from the fitness suite and sauna which are for 16 and overs, all ages are welcome to use our sport and leisure facilities. However, under 16's must be supervised by an adult.

Q: Do we pay extra to use the sport and leisure facilities?

A: As our holiday guest you’ll enjoy free use of our sport and leisure facilities throughout your stay. All you’ll pay extra for is any treatments you book in our Elemis Spa and meals in Waves restaurant.

Q: We're staying nearby - can we use Celtic Haven's facilities as a day visitor?

A: Yes, absolutely. Our Elemis Spa and Waves cliff-top restaurant are open to both residents and non-residents. We also offer day passes for our leisure club and golf course - give us a quick call on 01834 870000 if you'd like to join us.

The Local Area

Q: How far is Celtic Haven from Tenby?

A: You'll find Celtic Haven in Lydstep village, about 3 miles or a 5-minute drive from the town of Tenby.

Q: Is public transport available from Celtic Haven into Tenby?

A: Yes, the bus stops just a few paces from the entrance to Celtic Haven and the timetables can be found right here - you're looking for route 349. The Puffin Shuttle is also perfect for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, picking up and dropping off at some of the county's most beautiful spots.

Q: How far is Celtic Haven from the beach?

A: Lydstep beach is a 5-10 minute stroll from Celtic Haven down a quiet lane. You’ll also find the beautiful beaches at Manorbier, Penally and Tenby a very short drive away, or they can be reached on foot along the coastal path.

Q: How far is Celtic Haven from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path?

A: The quiet lane leading to Lydstep beach also takes you onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, taking around 5-10 minutes on foot from Celtic Haven. From here you can walk the beautiful coastal path to Tenby in one direction and to Manorbier in the other direction; both routes taking around an hour and a half to two hours.

Q: Can I walk the dog on the local beaches?

A: Between 1st October and 30th April you are welcome to take dogs onto any of Pembrokeshire’s beautiful beaches. There are a small number of dog restrictions in place from 1st May until 30th September each year which locally affect Tenby's town beaches, one side of Lydstep beach (you can still take the dog on the other side), Saundersfoot and Amroth.
