Pembrokeshire Christmas Markets 2018
Christmas is around the corner and whilst everybody’s gearing up for a period of relaxation, celebrations and general festivities, the pressures of gift giving can have many of us struggling for ideas as we seek to find the perfect present for our loved ones to open on Christmas day.
Fortunately, the county’s Christmas markets are on hand to help you find unique gifts for everybody – here’s our guide to some of the best local markets coming up in December!
Pembroke Castle Market 29th November to 2nd December
Steeped in a history that’s played a pivotal role in the shaping of Britain, Pembroke Castle is an almost idyllic location for you to enjoy a Christmas market.
The birthplace of King Henry VII, the castle comes alive over the Christmas period as the market brings over 60 stalls together to sell a variety of homemade gifts and Pembrokeshire produce that are the perfect for your loved ones.
The castle will be illuminated at night to create a magical atmosphere and Santa himself is rumoured to be set to take time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance!
Over 15,000 festive visitors enjoyed free admission to what is fast becoming one of Pembrokeshire’s must attend annual events last year – this is perhaps the single most important list you’ll want to have your name added to this year!

There will be a maritime décor theme in the heated harbourside marquee, where nearly 60 stalls will offer a feast of festive food, drink and gifts.
Entertainment will also be on hand from a number of local bands and musicians, their performances back-lit by the illuminations of the spectacular lantern parade.
The market opens at 2pm on Friday with each visitor allowed unlimited admission to the marquee through the weekend at £2.50, with children aged 16 and under allowed free entry.
Carew Castle Christmas Fayre Sunday 3rd December
The Carew Castle Christmas Fayre offers you the chance to explore a joyful atmosphere at the historic Carew Castle with festive musical entertainment throughout the day.
You can also warm yourself beside the fire in the Lesser Hall with mulled wine as you browse local crafts and delicious Christmas treats.
Entry to the fayre is included in normal admission price for adults, while a visit to Santa’s grotto will be £2.50 per child.
Tenby Christmas Market Friday 14th – Sunday 16th December
The unofficial Tenby Christmas market is another great opportunity to mooch around the stalls of local producers and pick up some great presents for your loved ones.
Hosted at the De Valance pavilions of Upper Frog Street, visitors will be able to shop, browse and enjoy the festivities of the event safe from the elements if the weather does take a turn for the worse!
Open from 10am through to 7pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday, the event offers free entry.
With face painting, children’s activities, live carol singers and a raffle, the Tenby Christmas Market is just ten minutes’ drive from the resort, this is a perfect little day trip if you’re staying with us over this period.
