Term and Conditions
Celtic Haven Ltd ("Celtic Haven") trading as Celtic Haven is the owner of the holiday let accommodation ("the Property") and the Contract entered into which is the subject of these terms and conditions is made between Celtic Haven and the hirer ("the Hirer").
Whilst Celtic Haven has taken great care to ensure the accuracy, at the time of going to press, of the information contained in the brochure, website or other information supplied to the Hirer relating to any services supplied, no warranty is given as to their accuracy. Celtic Haven does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from information given or statement made whether orally or in writing.
Bookings will be confirmed by Celtic Haven on receipt of a deposit of 30% of the total rent payable. The balance of the rental plus any security deposit is payable to Celtic Haven not less than eight weeks (56 days) prior to the date of commencement of the hiring. If the balance of the total rental payable together with any security deposit is not paid prior to this date, Celtic Haven reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit paid.
When booking online via our website, 100% of the total rent payable is charged at the time of booking.
Privilege Card holders must book over the phone to benefit from any loyalty discount - this cannot be applied to online bookings.
Please note we no longer accept cheques.
If the reservation is being made within eight weeks (56 days) of the commencement of the stay then the total rent together with any security deposit is payable when the reservation is made and accepted.
Payments should be made to Celtic Haven. UK payments should be made by credit card, cheque, bank transfer or bankers draft. Bank details are available on request. Bookings must be accompanied by a completed and accurate booking form.
6. Cancellation and alterations to bookings.
Any cancellation must be sent to Celtic Haven in writing by the Hirer named on the booking form. The effective date of cancellation will be the date that the written instructions are received by Celtic Haven.
The cancellation fee will be 30% before 56 days of the commencement of the Let. If the cancellation is less than 56 days the fee would be the full cost of the Let.
In the event that Celtic Haven are able to re-let the property for the same period at the same cost, the fee and security deposit will be reimbursed to the Hirer, less the administration costs of £50 plus VAT.
The Provider reserves the right to make a £50 plus VAT per week administration charge for any property or date alteration after the booking has been confirmed. No booking alterations can be made within two months of the start date of the holiday.
6b. The Covid Money Back Guarantee
The Covid Money Back Guarantee is free of charge and applies to existing bookings for 2022 made before 25th August 2022. It doesn't apply to 2023 bookings. From 25th August onwards, new bookings or existing bookings that are amended with a change to date or holiday package, won't include this guarantee.
If you have our Covid Money Back Guarantee on your booking, in relation to Coronavirus you are covered for the following:
1. The resort is closed
2. UK Government restrictions on travel
3. You are unable to travel due to sickness or isolation
4. You consider it unsafe to come on holiday
If you are coming as a group in multiple accommodations and members of your party have Coronavirus, the guarantee only applies to those units where guests prove that they need to isolate.
We guarantee you can move your holiday to a future date free of charge and receive a full refund.
Should UK Government advice significantly change in the 3 days period prior to arrival, we will reactivate the guarantee for you. All other booking terms and conditions remain unchanged.
If you choose to amend your holiday to different dates, should your new holiday be cheaper than your existing booking, we will refund the difference to a Celtic Haven holding account in your name, to be used against a future booking. Should your new holiday be more expensive, you will need to pay the difference at time of booking.
If you choose to cancel your holiday, you can only do this by calling us, refunds will take up to 10 days to proceed.
7. Security Deposit
Celtic Haven reserve the right to request a security deposit which will be refunded within 7 days following the completion of the hiring, less any charges incurred as a result of the failure by the Hirer to meet his responsibilities as set out as in conditions 10 & 11.
Celtic Haven properties are let as holiday accommodation and do not create a Landlord and Tenant relationship within the meaning of the Rent Acts.
Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in the rental charge where applicable.
10. Hirer Responsibilities
The Hirer is responsible for the Property during the period of rental and is expected to take reasonable care of it. All equipment and utensils must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.The Hirer is expected to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness, general repair and the order in which it was found. An additional charge may be made if extra cleaning is required.
Celtic Haven will check the condition and contents of the Property and will notify the Hirer within seven days of any additional cleaning costs or charges for damage and breakages for which the Hirer is liable. Payment shall be made by the Hirer immediately on receipt of the invoice in respect of the above charges. Where a security deposit has been taken, the charges will be deducted from the deposit and the balance refunded to the Hirer by Celtic Haven within seven days.
12. Group Bookings
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between Celtic Haven and the Hirer, no more than the maximum number of persons as stated in the brochure may occupy the Property. Admittance may be refused if this condition is not observed.
Celtic Haven reserves the right to refuse or revoke bookings from parties which may in their opinion be unsuitable for the property concerned. In such cases all payments made will be refundable in full and the contract will be discharged.
14. Termination of Booking
The right is reserved to terminate the booking with immediate effect if the Hirer fails to observe the Rules imposed from time to time by Celtic Haven and in the event of termination under the provisions of this clause the Hirer will not be entitled to any refund of the hiring fee paid.The Rules are set out in the Schedule hereto and Celtic Haven reserves the right to alter amend or add to the Rules and conditions at any time.
All complaints must be referred to Celtic Haven who will promptly and fully investigate the matter and ensure that corrective action is taken if the complaint is found to be substantiated. Celtic Haven will not entertain or consider any complaints or claims for compensation unless the complaint or problem has been raised by the Hirer in the course of the hiring or in circumstances in which it is possible for Celtic Haven to investigate the complaint effectively and take the necessary corrective action.
Whilst Celtic Haven makes every effort to ensure that the description of the Property is accurate and that it meets the standards set out by Celtic Haven, they do not accept responsibility for any alterations made to the Property or its amenities since the Particulars were prepared.
Celtic Haven does not accept responsibility for any damage, loss, additional expense or inconvenience directly or indirectly caused by the failure of its plumbing, gas, electrical or other facilities or as a result of exceptional weather conditions within the property.
Celtic Haven does not accept any responsibility for the personal belongings of the Hirer or the Hirer's motor car and it is the responsibility of the Hirer to arrange appropriate insurance cover in respect of these items.
The Hirer shall be entitled to occupy the Property from 4pm on the day of arrival and must vacate the Property before 10am on the day of departure unless there has been prior agreement to the contrary with Celtic Haven. Any variation must be clearly stated in the booking confirmation.
20. Cancellation Insurance
Cancellation insurance is not compulsory but Celtic Haven does strongly recommend such insurance cover to protect against cancellation penalties. Holiday insurance should be available through your own insurance brokers.
21. Right of Entry
Celtic Haven shall be allowed the right of entry to the Property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
22. Special offers
No special offer can be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. All offers are subject to availability and our normal terms and conditions apply.
Rules governing the occupancy of the Property
Smoking is not permitted in any properties.
Pets are only allowed in the Property or in the grounds of the Property when prior authority has been given by Celtic Haven and the correct fee is paid. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms, on any item of furniture or to be left unattended in any property. Pets are to be kept on leads at all times within the grounds of Celtic Haven and it is the owner's responsibility to clean up any soiling.
The number of occupants of the Property should not exceed the maximum number stated in the booking confirmation.
The Hirer shall not carry out any activity on the Property which might cause a nuisance or annoyance to Celtic Haven or the occupiers of any adjoining property and in particular (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) no instrument, CD, or tape recorder shall be operated on the Property between the hours of midnight and 8am.
